Craft Group

In 2000, a Cultural Centre Craft group was formed, and continues to meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month, from 10 am – 2 pm. Although social in nature, the purpose is to support the Cultural Centre and the KJCA by making and donating items that the KJCA can sell in their Gift Shop, present to visitors, donate to hospitals, nursing homes, homeless, etc. They also work on their own projects in between. Although most come for the whole day, some members just ‘drop in’ to socialize, or get assistance with their own project. Language spoken is mostly English.

Since 2001, this group has been organizing the most successful ‘Craft Sale’ held in November of each year where member ‘crafters’ are invited to set up a table and sell their wares.

If interested in joining this group, phone the Cultural Centre 250-376-9629 for information or drop over for coffee on the 2nd or 4th Mondays to see what they are doing. They welcome more members to attend the social.
