Mochi Making and Sampling

Mochi is Japanese rice cake made of mochigome a short-grain glutinous rice.  This rice is steamed and pounded into paste and molded into the round shape.  In Japan it is traditionally eaten on New Years Day.  The Centre makes and sells it on December 27 with pickup between 10:00 am to 11:30 pm.  Pre order mochi for members only and also enjoy mochi tasting with various sauces and ozone (mochi in soup).  Phone 250-376-9629.
